JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for helping customers purchase product and creating the best shopping experience possible using excellent customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales
    1. Spas, above ground pools, patio furniture, grills, chemicals, parts and accessories.
    2. Familiar with all products on the selling floor including accessories.
    3. Lead tracking - fill out sheet: daily, weekly, monthly, year to date.
    4. Letters, telephone calls and follow-up to all leads: generate leads from existing cards.
    5. Literatures - stored on shelves, stamped and ready to be given out.
    6. Sales commission sheet: daily, weekly, monthly, year to date.
    7. Top 10 prospects list: weekly.
    8. Competitor training up to date.
    9. Always know the finance plan and rates of your store and the competition.
    10. Greet all customers.
    11. Water testing.
    12. Customer hot tub start-ups.
  2. Showroom
    1. Spas and product, floors, displays, etc. - neat and clean.
    2. Chemicals
      1. Bottles clean and dusted.
      2. Shelves Stocked.
      3. Know chemical maintenance guide
    3. Inventory - Always have an updated spa inventory,
      1. Submit list of chemicals and accessories needed to Purchasing Agent on daily basis
    4. Point of sale transactions.
      1. Follow proper paper work procedures.
      2. Customer name on all transactions
      3. Balance point of sale daily.
  3. Advertising
    1. Keep track of all ads and all competitors' ads.
    2. Plan, suggest and create Guerilla marketing.
    3. Attack!
  4. Miscellaneous
    1. Participates in Safety Committee activities.
    2. Interacts with Marketing Manager on a weekly basis.
    3. Strives to exceed customers’ expectations.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Has contact with all levels of personnel within company and with customers and vendors.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Occasional overtime required.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION LEVEL

  • High school or equivalent.
  • Experience working with the public
  • Good sales skills, including successful sale closure techniques
  • Experience with point of sale software
  • Works independently
  • Handles multiple tasks at one time
  • Communicates effectively with the public, both orally and in writing
  • Works constructively and cooperatively with peers
  • Sets and meets deadlines
